Overall financial responsibility for the full trial balance.
Responsible for the internal controls, GAAP and statutory accounting, cost accounting, financial analysis, budgets, forecasts, cash flow, implementing and utilization of ERP, tracking of continuous improvement projects and capital investments.
Essential Duties:
Provide a monthly management reporting package that includes analysis of key business trends and actual versus plan variances, including comprehensive explanations of differences.
Manages, Supervises, Reviews:
Accounting transactions; Trial Balance; Account Reconciliations; and full Financial Statements.
Manage the Business reporting process and requirements.
Provide support for ad-hoc financial projects and analysis along with financial presentations as required to support initiatives.
Provide programs to improve growth objectives, operational efficiency, consistency, business practices and processes.
Develop and assure compliance with policies and procedures to meet all corporate, and statutory, requirements.
Develop and monitor P&L forecasts, budgets and metrics to measure key performance indicators and group performance.
Support Financial Information Technology initiatives and new system implementations.
o Utilize ERP system to provide financial tools to support management.
This includes inventory transactions, sales reporting, cost and valuation management, and any other financial data.
o Facilitate and participate in the implementation of the new ERP system.
Participate as a partner to the plant, IT and implementation team.
Provide sales analysis, including volume, price and mix data.
Create profitability accounting (business modeling) for projects.
Manage Credit, Collections, Accounts Receivable, Payable and Treasury Functions and related Staff.
Be backup to the Managing Direct on Banking and other Administrative functions.
Interface with customers and corporate treasury to resolve payment issues and terms.
Assist in the development of short, medium, and long term plans to achieve strategic objectives including plant consolidation, strategic partnerships, and acquisition strategy.
Regularly interact across functional areas with management and executives to ensure business and division objectives are aligned.
Identify and resolve technical accounting issues; provide technical accounting guidance and recommendations to management and as documented in Company accounting position papers; and act as a principal liaison with external auditors on all technical accounting issues.
Research and evaluate transactions, business practices, and policies for compliance with accounting and reporting guidance.
Provide data to External Accountants / Auditors for purposes of Year-End Statutory reports.
Resolve suggestions and remediate deficiencies.
Actively participates, reviews and validates the continuous improvement process and projects (CIP).
Promotes worker safety by:
o Actively assesses activities on a constant basis to ensure no unsafe actions or results will occur.
o Stressing safe working practices as a condition of employment to associates.
o Assisting in audits of employee behaviors to ensure compliance with safety rules and guidelines, as well as housekeeping audits and surveys.
Performing work at a level that ensures quality of this position meets or exceeds internal and external customer specifications.

Qualifications, Education and/or
Experience:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Business with more 7- 10 years experience with a broad acute business acumen; CPA, Chartered and/or MBA preferred with strong GAAP knowledge.
Experience working in a manufacturing environment and hands on knowledge of manufacturing systems and link to financial reporting and performance interpretation.
Experience in understanding customer and market segmentation.
Work with Sales to build value offers vs.
commodity driven pricing Solid management skills leading teams, with a track record of mentoring/growing team members with ability to lead and motivate others.
Financial planning & analysis skills in order to determine success, areas of need, and ability to communicate results.
Ability to build and drive an efficient, user friendly process for developing financial plans and analysis that links to the strategic objectives.

The ability to think on your feet and rapidly adjust to changing priorities is necessary.
